A bit about myself. I have been working in IT for over 40 years. Throughout my career, I’ve worked as a programmer, and more recently as a system administrator.
Very often, a problem needs to be solved urgently. Otherwise, the business loses money for every minute of downtime. The IT field is vast, and documentation is essential. Unfortunately, it is often large in volume and poorly structured. There is simply no time to read a thousand-page book, and search doesn’t always help. That’s why I decided to share my own challenges as a user of technical documentation and, hopefully, arrive at some principles for creating documentation that is truly convenient to use.
